KULCHA on Swan - Beats in the Bush

Venue: Percy Cullen Oval

Address: 1990 Toodyay Road, Gidgegannup

Date: Saturday, 6th March 2010

Time: 5:00pm – 10:30pm

Beats in the Bush features Dunumba from 5pm to 7pm - a percussion, dance and vocal ensemble covering a vast repertoire of styles utilising traditional African instrumentation. This performance will be followed by local entertainment.

 

KULCHA on Swan – Stratton Community Day

Venue: Farrall Oval

Address: Farrall Road near Lewis Jones Crescent, Stratton

Date: Sunday, 21st March 2010

Time: 8:00am – 3:00pm

The Stratton Community Day runs from 8am - 3pm, and will feature a performance from Gypsy Masala as they deliver a vibrant mix of Spanish-inspired sounds, influenced by jazz, flamenco and contemporary music from 1pm.

 

KULCHA On Swan – Bullsbrook Community Fair

Venue: Bullsbrook District Highschool

Address: Corner Brearley Street and Chittering Road, Bullsbrook

Date: Saturday 27th March 2010

Time: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

Bullsbrook Community Fair is presented by the Bullsbrook District High School P & C and runs from 2pm – 6pm. The fair will feature Descarga from 4pm - who brings together Latin Jazz, Salsa, Mambo and Cha Cha in a vibrant and energetic synthesis of sounds and cultures.

 

KULCHA On Swan – Ballajura Harmony Day

Venue: Karajini Oval

Address: Snowdonia Drive, South Ballajura

Date: Sunday, 28th March 2010

Time: 12:00pm – 5:00pm

The Ballajura Harmony Day will run from 12pm - 5pm and will feature Kwachala - one of Perth’s favourite reggae acts, blending African rhythms with smooth reggae soul from 3pm.

 

KULCHA On Swan – Altone Comes Alive!

Venue: Altone Park Recreation Centre

Address: 332 Benara Road, Beechboro

Date: Saturday, 24th April 2010

Time: 12:00pm – 4:30pm

Altone Comes Alive! will run from 12pm to 4:30pm, featuring David Hyams and the Miles to Go Band from 2:30pm. In the last ten years David Hyams and the Miles to Go Band have carved a reputation as one of the state’s best loved world folk acts.
